25 Years of Experience in Special Education

In addition to 10 years of legal experience, I have 15 years of experience in the special education field. I am a former Special Education Teacher and Counselor. I was a Diagnostic Educational Specialist at the California Department of Education's Diagnostic Center, Los Angeles, for 8 years, where I conducted assessments, recommended appropriate educational programs, and completed my School Psychologist Internship. I have a broad range of extensive experience in the field from writing IEPs to litigating cases. I am uniquely qualified to analyze cases from a legal and educational perspective.

Legal Representation at Due Process Hearings

If a dispute proceeds to a due process hearing, an administrative law judge will analyze all applicable requirements of special education law. Working with an attorney will help you to prepare effectively for on-going IEP Meetings, participate in settlement negotiations and present a persuasive case in court. My office is sensitive to the high cost of legal fees and offers clients reasonable rates.
